How can the Grant Laboratory help me?
The full grants process can often be a long and challenging one from deciding what type of opportunity works best for your organization, to submitting an application, to then being awarded and needing to actually carry out the proposed work at the funders behest.
Anything from finding the right opportunity via ensuring eligibility so you won't waste your time, pre-award work such as assembling all required parts of the application/budgeting/writing, to best methods of communicating with a sponsor before and after being awarded.

Can you explain what the process will be like?
Every organization is unique, and every Request for Proposals (RFP) comes with its own requirements. Ultimately, your goal is to convince the sponsors reviewers that your project is compelling and impactful enough that it will benefit both the community your organization serves and the mission of the sponsoring organization.
We will work together to make the best use your time to complete a compelling application in such a way that increases your chances of being funded. This could mean anything from identifying exactly what documents are required, assisting in the creation of those documents, working closely on budgets/justifications crucial to completing your work, and any other writing critical to the proposals success.
What kind of experience do you have?
Grant work can broadly be put into two categories, funder side and recipient side. On the funder side I have released over fifty Hillsborough County government grant programs ranging from small one time payment awards to larger >$1,000,000 per year large scale projects. My involvement included writing and releasing the Request for Proposals (RFP), holding grant workshops for all potential applicant organizations, leading the review/selection process including obtaining/interviewing qualified reviewers, and aiding in drafting the contracts for award winners. Lastly once the pre-award process is complete, help manage many of the contracts to ensure the proposed programs were completed successfully.
On the recipient side I have worked with National Cancer Institute designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and Research Institute Moffitt in Tampa, Florida as a Grant Manager. Supporting the researchers and clinicians in the Blood and Marrow Transplant and Cellular Immunotherapy Program, the Department of Anesthesiology, and the Department of Tumor Micro-environment and Metastasis. This included working with clinicians/researchers in applying for and managing grants ranging from single year direct cost only awards all the way to seven year clinical trials from organizations such as the National Institute of Health, Department of Defense, National Science Foundation, State of Florida and many other public/private funders.
I have also aside from my professional career in grants helped numerous organizations in the community obtain funding from institutions such as Whole Foods Market, Department of Education, Hillsborough Community College Foundation, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and many more. Through this work I am familiar with a wide variety of private/public funders in a range of industries.
